Via ferrata
One of the main Via Ferrata in Haute Savoie
The Via Ferrata du Mont overlooks the Gorges of Tines in Sixt Fer à Cheval. Its itinerary is laid out on the south face, using the first part of the huge limestone ridge ending by the Dent de Verreu on the right bank of the Haut Giffre valley, beneath the Mont hamlet. Its exposure and low altitude (1010 m at the summit) makes it practicable almost all year round. According to your level and the time you want to spend there, many different itineraries are possible:
