Rafting
The Giffre torrent is ideal for practising white water sports. Departures usually take place at the Sixt Fer à Cheval burg, arousing curiosity and interest among the many summer visitors. Sensations guaranteed as you go through the Gorges of Tines, the highlight of nature sports! You can enjoy all following white water activities:
Rafting:
The inflatable rafts designed for rafting are unsinkable and extremely steady, which allows to cross rapids that most craft won't (except canoes, kayaks and hydros). Thanks to the great capacity of these craft, you can take supplies and equipment aboard or tackle the rapids with several teams.
Canoraft, airboat...:
The canoraft is a two-seat canoe, the airboat is a one-seat kayak. Both boats are adapted for beginners and mountain rivers. They are steady, light and easy to manoeuvre.
Safety measures
For all white water sports, swimming skills are mandatory ! Bring a plastic bag (to put your things in), a swimming suit, a pair of sneakers (they will get wet) for all activities except hydrospeed.
