Some beautifull walks
750 to 3100 m, Sixt Fer a Cheval is in the middle of one of the networks of the most important natural reserve in Haute Savoie. You will have access in a few minutes with the most beautiful excursions of the Valley. By strolls or the excursion, medium mountains or the high mountain, in love ones with nature, sportsmen and contemplative, will be filled. They will be pleased to discover varied landscapes. Lakes in tops, country cottages of mountain pasture in refuges, you will not have to trouble you any more about the borders. Five refuges give access to very beautiful races: the Turn of the White Teeth, the Turn of Ruan and the Turn of Fiz. Our classified natural sites, the Circus of the Horseshoe and the Cascade of the Mullet, are accessible to the families, starting points also of the major part of our excursions. Stroll one hour or excursion at the day, you leave envoûter by the greatest Natural Reserve of High Savoy. In Sixt, it is each one its rhythm!

Le Cirque du Fer à Cheval
Le Cirque du Fer is a mountainous circus, such Gavarnie, buckling is valley of Giffre. This site without equal in Haute-Savoie, offers a fabulous spectacle in any season with multiple cascades... The ballade on the path of interpretations of the Natural Reserve in direction of the end of the world is impossible to circumvent, not to miss!
La cascade du Rouget call "Queen of the alps"
With its 90 meters in height, spouting out in two projections, the Cascade of the Mullet is the star of the cascades sizères In spring its flow is impressive, the winter it makes the pleasure of climbing on cascade of ice. But if Sixt Horseshoe is called "the country of the cascades", it is because there exists about it well of different. Most remarkable are those of Sauffaz and Whining (classified site), in direction of the Country cottages the Dirty ones.
Les gorges des Tines
It is a high place of the water running sports, with a sight exceptional since the Bridge of the Throats. Also a circuit discovered in the old throats or the river, Giffre, passed formerly... Ludic ballade with the rise of small scales in the marmittes creussées by erosion!

Walk differently
Stage of the famous GR. 5 (Sixt Horseshoe/Chamonix by the Lake and the Collar of Anterne), Sixt Fer a Cheval is a paradise for the hikers. And for boldest, of genuine turns of solid masses are realizable at the beginning of Sixt.
The 'Tour de la chaine des fiz'
This turn is carried out on the communes of Sixt and Passy around the Chain of Fiz, rock mass to vertiginous contours. With discovered of a natural inheritance varied, between mountain pastures, lakes of altitude, cascades and stone drains, this turn can be produced with the chart, on 2, 3, 4 even 5 days. It is strewn with seven refuges making pleasure with hiker contemplative, which will appreciate not only this chain but also that of the Mount Blanc which will be vis-a-vis him, once arrived at the Collar of Anterne or Dérochoir. Of share its access diversified, since Sixt by the Circus of the font, the Small valley the Dirty ones or the Collet of Anterne and since Passy by Joux Plain, the Plate of Assy or Coudray, the hiker has the charts in hands to discover this solid mass with the multiple facets.

The 'Tour du Ruan'
Another route Free-Switzerland, this circuit, resolutely alpine, will fill the experienced hiker, who will evolve/move in a very mineral environment. Programmed over four days, the route will enable you to discover a formidable book open on the nature and the history of planet, through simple stones (traces of dinosaurs…). Not far from the Emosson Lake, and of some splendid and wild tops, in particular the White Horse, from where the hiker will benefit from a singular sight on the Chain of the Mount Blanc.

The 'Tour des dents blanches'
The Turn of the White Teeth is a route of medium mountains with passages approaching the high mountain and requiring according to snow conditions' an adapted material (cord, ice axe, even cramps…). It is addressed to hikers experienced and able to be directed. Between Switzerland and France, the hikers use the watershed of the collar of Coux (1920 m) from the Head of Ottans (2549 m). The crossing of the communes of Champéry and Evionnaz, of Morzine, Samoëns and Sixt Horseshoe is the means of discovering the mountain pastures with their various herds, made up in major part of bovines to the characteristic races. It is the occasion to buy the products of the soil directly in the producer and to taste many cheeses of the area.
