Regulation

The beauty of the landscapes and the richness of the surroundings mean that the Haut Giffre massif receives a large volume of visitors.
- Damage caused to certain areas by trampling, fires, circulation of vehicles, rubbish.
- Difficulties caused to the normal running of pastoral activities.
So that everybody can make the most of what nature has to offer, visitors are asked to remember:

- Not to pick the wild flowers - leave them for everyone to enjoy
- Dogs are not allowed, even on a lead (the smell of their urine perturbs the animals). There is always the risk that dogs will provoke panic amongst the herds of animals which may then be injured or killed when jumping over rocks, cliffs or falling down the holes in the alpine karst...
- Do not camp out, use the mountain huts to be found in the nature reserve
Reconcile respect for the natural environment, a large volume of visitors and the traditional activities of mankind, these are the aims of the Nature Reserve.
